Job Title: Administrative Clerk
Department: Dawson County District Attorney
Salary: $11.80 Hour - $18.28 DOQ
Status: Full-Time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing general office and support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.  The administrative clerk will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate employees, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, maintain all office files, as well as additional clerical duties.

Job Requirements:
The preferred applicant must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides a sufficient level of understanding of the essential duties of the position. Prior legal experience is preferred.   Employee must have skills operating office equipment; skills operating a computer, facsimile, copier and scanner are required. The applicant should be proficient with Microsoft Office, ICON (Clerk of Superior Court file management software), and Tracker (District Attorney file management software).  Employee must have knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, court procedures, and administrative methods; possess good oral and written communication skills and good organization skills. Selected applicant must possess a valid Georgia driver license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
